Actually one of the best “home remedies” for acid reflux is to raise the head of your bed. Take a few small pieces of 2×4 and lay them flat on the floor. Place the two feet of the head of the bed on them. Try this for a week or so and I guarantee that it will alleviate your symptoms. Most reflux occurs at night during sleep and that is when most of the damage is done. best wishes

its not too pleasant but works, baking soda and water gives INSTANT relief, 1 tablespoon of baking soda in a cup of water… chug down. it works, and you can certainly find baking soda anywhere. you want to get rid of acid reflux because it can be damaging to your esophagus over a long period of time.

    An alkaline diet might help.

This was recommended by my homeopathic doctor. It works, and it uses all natural, easily obtainable ingredients.

Cabbage juice - shred cabbage and put in blender, strain and drink (it is very mild, like water from cooking veggies)

    OR

Potatoes, raw- chop, add a little water, put in blender, strain and drink. You can flavor with honey, but is also very bland.

These two foods will cause your stomach to produce the coating it needs to protect itself from acid reflux.

In the morning, before eating or drinking anything, drink 8 oz water. Rise up toes and come down on your heels quickly and forcibly, so your stomach drops. Do this 11x. This will force the valve at the opening of your esophagus to close, and help prevent the acid coming up. (also recommended by doc).

    Good luck!
